Road to Comrades Marathon 2026
June 3, 2026
View PostSunday evening, I had a show from 10 pm to 2 am on the 13th of December. It was the first show of the festive season on POWER 98.7, there was so much pressure to set the tone and be on my A-Game. But Kgoshigadi being Kgoshigadi, I didn’t sleep throughout the day. Excitement coupled with gophapha! We nailed it, according to my boss it didn’t sound like I hadn’t slept. After the show, I went to my friend’s place and slept in the car. About an hour into my nap, I woke up at a tollgate leaving Gauteng and into the North-West Province.
McDonald’s SA celebrated their 25 years with a drive-thru record attempt. I cracked an invite through a friend who sold it to me as a champagne breakfast and of course, I would be there but to my delight, there were supercars everywhere.
I very low key love supercars, and I’m still aware of the latest releases; the Ferrari’s, Lamborghini’s, McLaren’s, Aston Martins. It’s been a while since I read a car …
Hi, my name is Kgoshigadi and I don’t eat meat anymore, by choice. I woke one day on the 31st of December years ago and decided this is it. Next year I no longer want to eat meat and I never looked back. I’ve spoken about this journey so many times, I’ve spiced up the story a bit because the truth is “too boring” for a story at a dinner party or hang out with people I just met. The true story has however inspired many and equally shocked many. So here it goes…

10 August 2020, felt like a very weird day. I woke up feeling weird and went for a young hike to breathe a bit and get my mood right. When I got home, I felt better. Around 3 pm my laptop was on to complete a few campaigns and monitor digital presence the POWER Drive show. Around 16:30, I noticed a hashtag that was trending. Fast. I started checking what was happening and I kept saying to myself, NO WAYS! Already in tears and in a state of panic, I called my boss,
Me: Boss have you been on Twitter today?
Boss: No, why?
Me: …
07/07/2019 was the day we finally launched this blog as you see it. A year later, here we are up and running and forming some kind of shape. A year ago when I registered the name Ke Kgoshigadi officially, I had no idea what I was doing. I was just excited to start. In fact, I was so excited I had the logo and the blog running before I registered the name. It was by faith really, that the name was still available.
I …
Now I know the lockdown hasn’t completely ended but wow, what a bitch slap from 2020.
I actually can’t believe it’s June already, just yesterday it was January. I was eager and excited about the new year, I had laid the foundations in 2019 for 2020, I was sure things would come to manifestation this year and I was head over heels with an amazing guy. But here’s what 2020 brought on so far.
Work
Work didn’t really stop for me. Just before the lockdown, we were given permits to continue to come to work when required #EssentialWorker. The digital department was suddenly very …
In the last few weeks, we’ve seen how the internet literally does not forget. We’ve seen incidences of people whose videos and tweets were dug up from the past and brought to life is 2020. From Miss South Africa hopeful Bianca to Miss Universe Zozi Thunzi. Someone sat and thought; “What can I do with my internet today?” and proceeded to get tweets from the past but there’s something to learn here.
A few weeks ago I had an interview on POWER 98.7’s POWER Up with Kwena Moabelo discussing “The Internet Doesn’t Forget” with two other digital experts. Here are a few pointers that came …
So there I was one night, awake after obsessing about a concept for a while. I hadn’t yet figured out the solution to the problem and it was lingering in my mind, strongly. I eventually let it go and just before I fell asleep, it hit me. I quickly got up and wrote the idea on my phone and sent it to a friend because I wanted a response the next day.
I was working on it and last night I opened Instagram and BAAAAM! My idea, to the T. Every like detail I described was right in front of me, except I didn’t …
The first time I heard of DFM was about 3 years ago; idling around waiting for my mom to finish her shopping. I know right, I was waiting for her to finish her shopping and I ended up shopping. Anyhoo, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw brands like River Island, FILA, ALDO, Ted Baker and Calvin Klein at affordable prices.
Discount My Fashion is a store that sells international brands at discounted prices. “Using our international sourcing to bring you genuine international fashion brands at …

So my first thought when I heard about the collaboration with David Tlale and Avon was; I wonder what that perfume will smell like. I was excited that David would offer a his and her signature scent. The marketing manager of Avon SA laughed when I took him this and told us to be patient.
